Multicultural Storytelling and Music Programs
The Dulcimer Project This project can be used
as a whole class or grade level experience or as an after school enrichment
program. There is a six child minimum for after school programs. The Paper Tune Dulcimers
are extremely durable and very reasonably priced. The kits are available
at a cost of only $52.50 per kit plus tax, and includes a song book,
instructional tape, pick & noter. Retail value of $82.00 Professional fees for dulcimer project. Four and one half hours of classroom facilitation over three or four days @$90.00 per hour Includes art instruction, construction facilitation, stringing & tuning, teaching simple tunes and use of specialized tools.
"Bringing in the Strings" Music Program This program requires
the purchase of 20 dulcimers as a classroom set to be utilized by rotating
the instruments from class to class. The cost per dulcimer is $58.00
plus tax, this price includes a book, tape, pick & noter for each
instrument. Retail value would be $90.00. A one hour in-service is
available to give the teachers training in the various components of
the program. The cost for the in-service
is $195.00 for up to 8 teachers. Included in the cost is a Dulcimer,
song book, instructional tape, pick, noter & collateral materials
